| The goal of the Meteors Section
is to promote the observations of meteor showers and random meteor
activity. The Meteors Section is split into two groups: one that
corresponds through postal mail and another (The North American Meteor
Network) that corresponds over the internet. Information is available from
the coordinator.
Observers may participate in several different methods of observations: visual, photographic, radio, or video. Experienced observers are often able to participate in more than one method simultaneously. Participants are encouraged to observe and record meteor data as often as possible. Data received is shared with the American Meteor Society and the International Meteor Organization to be used in their research and analysis. We hope you will be interested in our endeavors! |
